Arpeggiator without triggering envelope?

Hello,
I’ve tried to search around a lot but can’t find anyone posting about this.

Is it possible to prevent the arpeggiator from constantly triggering the filter envelope (EnvF)? I want the first (and only) trig in my pattern to retrig the envelope, and I don’t want all the “automatic” arp notes to trigger it, so I get a nice filter sweep over the arpeggio which rests when the manual trig hits.

I’ve tried these things so far:

  1. P-lock EnvF retrig to off, on the trig I have. This works once when I hit play, but then naturally the envelope won’t retrigger when the pattern loops.
  2. P-lock EnvF retrig off on a trigless trig at step 1. This doesn’t stop the arp notes from retriggering the envelope.

I’m fairly certain that on the Monomachine, you could specifically set the arp not to trigger envelopes, but I sold it some 10 months ago so I can’t double check… I guess I can check the manual. Either way, I’m dealing with the AK now.

So, (how) can I get this behaviour?

Thanks!

Okay, so it seems I posted too soon.
In case anyone runs into this, the way you do it on the AK (and A4 I presume) is this:

In the arp settings, turn on legato mode. Then on the second osc2 page, turn slide down to 0 (well, you don’t have to, but the default setting sounds pretty bad…).

Done!

I have a bass line with an arp that just repeats notes, and when I …

… it stops repeating those notes. They’re long notes but play short stabs in the arp legato mode. I’m just trying to apply an LFO without the arp re-triggering it. I got excited when I saw your post but turning on legato stops it from playing my bass line properly. Any idea how else I could apply an LFO to something with the arp re-triggering it?
