Arpeggiator in grid record mode?

hi guys

just got the mnm last week and while trying to come to grips with it. I can’t seem to get the arpeggiator to function consistently in grid record mode. I had it working last night, but I can’t seem to do it again. it’s obviously user error- I’ve looked through the manual and googled and YouTubed to no avail. I read through this thread from the of forum: http://www.elektron-users.com/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=28&func=view&id=164486&catid=18&limit=10&limitstart=10 is it the case that I engage the arp first and then enter the notes? I’m confused. can’t seem to figure out how to enter multiple notes per trig either. thanks in advance.

this is likely the root of the problem, as the arp won’t engage if you don’t have at least two notes on the trig. hold the trig button down, hit the down arrow and when you see a second space on the screen appear, use the left or right arrows to enter another note of different pitch. repeat to add more notes.

To first engage the ARP, you must have all three trigs on the root note(AMP,FILTER,LFO). It only has to be two note if you use SID mode in the arp screen, otherwise you can use 1.
