Arpeggiator - basic help w/recording needed

Hi,

I’m still an A4 noob, so my question will be rather primitive.

So, have a sequencer running and try to record a sound in live recording mode with arpeggiator. When I press 2-3 keyboard buttons, it makes this really nice arpeggiato sequence in chord. This all is supposed to be recorded. However, when the pattern ends and I leave the Live recording mode, the nice arpeggio is just not there - just some very basic one that I didn’t want.

So, how it’s possible to record “what-I-hear” in live rec mode using arpeggiator?

Thanks in advance.

The trigs cant hold more than one note currently. You can set or p-lock the no2 , no3, no4 paramaters for the same effect.

Hi

Make sure HOLD is on in the ARP page settings.

How can I set HOLD to on in the ARP page settings? Can’t find this option anywhere :frowning:

There ist no “hold” . You cant record more than one note per step atm, so its not possible to record the chord you play with the arp … :frowning: . You can rebuild your sequence with the note parameters in the arp though, as i said.

NOOB here with A4 as well, BUT take a look at the awesome thread and post member VOID posted recently in A4 Forum called, ARP pattern transition trick.

THAT’s the closest to what you probably would like to do that the A4 will allow thus far. Hope that helps. Great tutorial video with posted captions of what’s going on so you can watch it as many times as I have AND save it to favorites!
