ARP parameter locking tricks digitone ii

Does anyone have any tricks for getting around the inability to LFO or p-lock the ARP on the DN2?

I just want simple stuff like locking the arp range up an increment for a few steps, and generating a second pattern just to be a copied version with this parameter change only ends up leading to me just re-copying it a bunch of times after I’ve found changes on the original version of the pattern.

I tried to just make a conditional trigger with the octave-up note as well as the root but it didn’t work as I expected.

I set it up to play chords into, with octaves and fifths up and down, which lets you change the arp by playing in different notes, e.g., an octave up for a few steps at the spot you want the higher note.

It’s also possible to save different sounds with their own arps into the preset pool, and play it in from there, might work better if you’re doing a single note approach.
