if you trig anything that will repeat infinitely from one trig instance you need to kill the sound
single stop
and quick double stop
both provide standard but differing midi messages
the latter is required to kill sustaining sounds
the former to stop notes being trigged
it’s a complete pain with looping samples on the AR as they carry on thru a track mute (only the trig) and it’d be nice to have a key combo to kill sound per track, without just disabling the individual sound engine (i.e. loop switch) or decay on another example
This exact MM arp problem/feature has kept me up late several nights!
Simply because when I say to myself that now I’m done jamming and press stop on the octatrack, the monomachine continues. This leads to an awesome break in the jam and I now have to do some tweaking on the monomachines filters and then I can’t resist pressing play on that octatrack again to bring in the beat.
And then it all repeats
