if iâm not mistaken, TRACK ARM (CC52) refers to one shot trigs placed on said track. so if you arm the track, the next one shot trigs will play on the patternâs playthrough.
however if itâs recording youâre after, you should use RECORDER ARM (CC53).
another thing that pops to my mind is setting the proper button type. dunno what kind of device youâre using, but in my MPD32 if you set CCs for the buttons there are two modes of operation - toggle and momentary. toggle is exactly what it says on the tin, whilst momentary works like this: as long as you keep the button pressed, a non-zero value on the set CC is being transmitted and as soon as the button is released - the CC goes back to zero.
toggle is suitable for track mute/solo wheras momentary should work with arming.
Yeah I have a long vocal sample trigged to play once (orange led). I want to re- arm the trig with a pad on an mpk25 (should be the same process as yours on the mpd)
I seem to have the right cc/channel but no luck. Will have another look when I get time.
You may have figured this out by now. But this will work if the message is being held when the sequencer reaches the trigger. I use a latched midi message so it stays on until the trigger is reached.
cool to see some reading this 2 yrs later.
in simplest terms ârecorder armâ means that if you have one shot recorder trigs (you know, ones that record only on a single sequencer playthrough), arming means the recorder will indeed record the next time the sequencer reaches that trig.
