Are we not able to edit audio

I’ve been away from my OT for a few months. Since October really. Had a kid, then OT went for repairs etc. . . . so I may have forgotten something but are we not able to edit audio loaded onto the card(versus stuff we’ve sampled in)? I have a percussion loop that is not looping correctly with the time stretch and all that I need to trim a little but when I got into the Audio Edit menu, there is no waveform on the screen to edit.

I usually only need to edit the stuff I record in so I’ve not had to try this before.

Try loading it as a Flex

They are loaded into FLEX machines. I’ll dig through the manual again. I have to be remembering incorrectly.

You definitely should see a waveform.

Are you sure you are in the right editor? I think it is possible to open a blank slot for editing. Just to be sure: scroll through your Flex list to a slot that contains a sample, then do the edit button combo Func+Bank (iirc) do you not see a waveform?

It was the wrong editor. I just happened to have the manual on my phone. (No internet at the studio and shitty cell service)

I’ve not tried to edit a loop like this before. The Timestretch algorithm is not quite “good”. Might have to take these all into Live and sort them out one by one at home. . . no computers in the studio.
