Would the community be interested in a competition where members submit their best drum patches emulating a specific type of traditional drum? We could compile the top 3 sounds submitted for every machine at the end into a large elektronauts community sysex/project with credits towards the contributors.
To fully take advantage of the rytms capabilities (and to allow the sounds to be shared universally) the project will contain a utilitarian bank of noise samples that may be utilized in the competition.
The end result will be a community based project highlighting the rytms current sound design capabilities while also providing a universal project in which others may build upon and share with as we would all have the same set of compatible noise samples to work with.
If this is succesful we can start another dedicated to other forms of sound design such as bass sounds or leads.
You may reuse the part of the forum called “Missions” if it suits you.
I’m OK with sharing patches but I don’t feel skilled enough (nor really interested that much) to emulate other gear.
Just to reiterate, I would like this project to highlight Elektronauts favorite conventional drum sounds created using the “hard bassdrum machine” as opposed to a collection of elektronauts favorite hard bass drums if you catch my drift.
In this way its not really about making the biggest kick or snappiest snare, but sharing our creative exploration of the individual machines that results in something conventional for others to use and expand on. I wanted the focus to be traditional drum sounds as opposed to experimental percussion to make things a little more objective and focus on making sounds we may want with the available machines until Elektron creates new ones.

Thanks Lying_Dalai, its great to be able compile all the helpful patches people have already submitted into one place so we can point new users in the right direction who are having trouble getting the most out of the rytms internal synthesis.
New to the rytm but I spend a fair while last night trying to get the Hard Bass Drum Machine (without a sample) to emulate the kick I had going from a VGLine 9Q9 (909 kick remake)… was thinking how nice it would be to have a repository for particular sounds somewhere online.
