Hi all,
maybe some of you have a workaround on how to use the inputs of the AR to record other gear into a DAW?
i want to use the AR not only as a drumsynth, but as the main soundcard in my homesetup (in need my RME in the studio)
i am searching for a routing-setup, that allows two things in parallel:
a) recording beats from the AR with all drumvoices & fx separately recorded (so i can jam live and cut and mix the result)
b) use the input of the AR to jam with my Octatrack on top of it and record through the AR-Input (while listening to the backing tracks in Cubase).
The Problem:
for a) if i use the AR as a soundcard, the timing and sync is cool, but the EFX Channel is - while recorded - doubled (cause it also records the signal coming back from the DAW).
if i use the AR with overbridge-plugin, the sync is horrible (in cubase) and there is a latency of more than 50-60 ms. (but i can monitor through the MAC internal soundcard while having overbridge plugin active)
for b) if i want to use the input of the AR to record just the liveplayed audio from other gear, it always includes recording the backing track coming out of the DAW… so i cant use the recordings.
Any suggestions are welcome :-))
