AR - Project/Dir/Samples HELP!

Hello, tonight I sat down with the AR and started to load my own samples in there so I did the following.

1 Create new Project
2 Create new Dir
3 Set upload to that same Dir (upload here)

I then selected 100 of my own samples to transfer via C6… I sat there thinking FFS it’ll soon be christmas :frowning: This thing is so slow at transferring samples. Is this normal?
Also taking in to consideration that I created the above 1,2 & 3 once I had loaded (some samples about 12) they ended up being at the end of the factory samples, How is this possible if I created a new DIR?
So instead of my samples appearing in slot 1-12 they were dumped in at slot 120 onwards?? I don’t get this so if anyone can shed some light. The only way I can have my own samples starting from slot 1 is if I do an Empty Reset.

I also have the OT and I just wish that because the AR uses samples that it also had the SD card slot cause C6 is a pain to transfer samples to AR. So anyways if someone can tell me what i’m doing wrong here i’d appreciate it very much.

Are you Rob_Lee on KVR? If so, hello!

Did you set the directory to ‘Upload here’? If I upload a few samples first then want to re-upload with some others, I delete the old ones first. Just seems less complicated.

How long are the samples? I uploaded about 100 one shots in maybe 5 minutes or something. Not loads more.

127 user sample slots are available for each project. If you’re in the preset project there’s factory samples there.

Just create a new project and you will have all the samples slots (and memory) for your self.

Yes i’m on KVR too and VSE and I just listened to your demo for the AR so congrats that’s top notch.
About the Project etc I must be doing something wrong cause I create a new project then a new DIR… I then point to upload here. All is good but still my samples are loading from slot 120 onwards. The only way iv’e managed to load all my samples from slot 1 onwards is if I do an empty reset.
Probably user error so i’ll try again tonight… Got an A4 coming thursday to go with AR and OT… sold the last one (big mistake )
Anyways thanks for the tips guys i’ll come back in a short while and say how I got on.

Perhaps you’re not switching to the new project? (Wild guess…). After creating a new project you need to load it.

Samples you upload don’t belong to any project, they are on the +Drive.
