I use two solutions with the 101:
- If I want to send notes and stuff: cv gate, Y cable, stereo 6.3 to 2x mono 3.5
- If I just want to send the synchro to the 101’s seq: Y cable, stereo 6.3 to 2x monos 6.3 (the other mono clocks the juno-60’s arp)
I use two solutions with the 101:
Mmm, been looking allover for those 6.5 stereo to double mono 3.5’s. Where did you find it? Or did you make it yourself?
A friend made me the Y cable…
I’ve had it a little over a week now… unfortunately I have been able to spend a lot if time with it due to a work project taking all my time!
With the little time I have been able to mess with it, it sounds KILLER!
Take care,
Vid

That’s ridiculous!!!
What’s up with all elektron studios? I know the gear is good, but…
Oh, wtf, I’ll have two when my AR finally gets here. Couldn’t sell to OT. Still thinking to sell my biscuit or micro granny 2.0 though. I’d sell them here but not Elektron so probably no one wants lol.
ahhh this is mind-blowing!

I actually have a lot of other gear… sitting… not being used. Im just trying to focus on my live rig which is incredibly elektron centric. I will say that everything else in my possession that is NON-Elektron is currently and always for sale. There is just something about these machines that make me not want to use anything else. Especially with the range that i have. I often look at my elektrons and feel like i have the power to accomplish anything i want sonically between all of them, it just takes enough thought and time.
nothing fancy/new here… probably the main setup i’ll be using for live sets; well, at least that’s what i’m aiming for, been a while since an ‘only hardware’ setup; i’ll need to get used to it again …
Analog/sample/FM/Chiptune/Vox : who need more ? I would be happy to be forced to use only AR+MnM.

Probably the most complete, least overlapping duo in the Elektron stable? Nice! You get a bit of everything with these two boxes.

i totally agree with that!
i also have a lot of stuff in my studio (like 17 synths from all kinds and age) cause i mostly use hardware for sound generation, i record everything to my daw and then give it the final touch.
but for live gigs, we trust on elektron, because it’s sexy to use, sexy to look at, and it sounds like i never want to use something else…
well done elektron, well done!

…at the beginning i wasn’t sure whether to get an AR or an A4; even though i’ve always missed something like the OT and still i do…(use the computer to do that part but i end up, most of the times, spending way too much time in front of the screen…) the AR seems a good compromise between the OT and the A4 (well, at least to me though) and even if it’s a drum computer, it is and will be capable of more than just kicks and snares.
i’m really happy about this machine and i’m looking forward to the next firmware upgrade ! once again, well done Elektron
edit: any chance of a ++Drive ?
