I wonder what this means for the orders that have been placed so far. As I’ve already been charged for the machine I was expecting to have it delivered in the next few days. I don’t really like how Elektron handles communication and would very much appreciate a comment from their side.

They took orders whilst in stock & now state it’s out of stock. How much clearer can they be?

Most important is that they’re shipping it with a bug free OS, and with hardware that has gone through sufficient quality testing. If just one bug, or imperfection is noticed they’ll have to update, flash and test the units again etc. It’ll come

While I’m OK with delays I mostly have a problem with being charged for an order (potentially) long before it actually ships. I deal with a lot of online retailers and most do not charge a card weeks before shipping. In fact, I mostly avoid doing business with companies that operate like this. I’m not a bank.

My love for Elektron products does not mean I love how they do business.

At least the status in the online store updated for the RYTM. Elektron told me last week that the Octatracks have shipped, but there was never a point where they were listed as in stock on the site, which I find a bit suspect.

Bug free OS, too funny. I’m sure there will be plenty of non-crash, oh it works that way but I still can get it done bugs. It’s elektron. I love when an exploited bug becomes a feature.

Clearly the site stated that it would take a few extra days yet all the craziness, misguided anger, and plain nasty talk just makes the impatient seem unreasonable and way too dramatic about realistic wait times.

I think it’s way too early for all this & as I’ve already stated I believe Elektron have made everything very clear.
They specifically state that initial orders may take a little time to ship. Give em a break guys!
