I have been playing Machinedrum and Monomachine for some time. I got the Analog Rytm MKII 6 years ago and it’s crying to be used — but I have a problem that’s stopping me!
It happened when an idea struck me — “If I sample this it will make my girlfriend elevate. I will create something special with that ARMKII vibe.”
Then the ARMKII stopped me. I am furious! 
The problem:
My Analog Rytm MKII has a ghost loop playing internally — music I previously created, stuck inside, playing continuously by itself with no pattern or sequencer running. It interferes with Audio In L and ruins external sampling.
Technical details:
Low frequency loop
Plays with no pattern running
Survives power off and all resets
Interferes with Audio In L causing bizarre distorted recordings
What we tried:
Factory reset ✗
Empty reset ✗
Deleted all samples from recorded folder ✗
Full analog calibration ✗
Firmware upgrade OS 1.50 → 1.72 ✗
Full 2.5 hour improved tuning calibration — all PASSED ✗
I will add videos and proof of the ARMKII strange behaviour. Or maybe we are just stupid and there is a simple fix — please enlighten us!

Sounds like something stuck in the delay/reverb line. Does changing the delay/reverb time make it speed up or slow down.

Thanks for the suggestion. All FX knobs at 0 value, no project on the unit. Still there.
I have no idea what’s going on there. TBH I’m inclined to say your best bet would be to raise a support ticket with Elektron.
However, on the off-chance that I’m some kind of genius (caution: this is extremely unlikely) …
Check the samples on each track on the current pattern. Are any of the samples set to loop?
FUNC + pad to select track
Press SMPL button
Check LOP setting - if it’s on, turn it off.
Once you’ve checked loop for all samples for all tracks are off, double-tap the stop button.
Does the sound stop?
You say this is interfering with AUDIO IN L? Does the unit still exhibit the unwanted behaviour when there’s nothing plugged in to any of the ins/outs except for the main outputs?
I never said anything about levels, I said time. Does delay/reverb time affect it.
(Trying to imagine what sort of bizarre failure could burn values permanently into the delay/reverb memory…)

Try it out somewhere else that’s not near your home.
