It’s spooky season apparently. The 16th note’s LED light is dimmed, always on, and displaying a dark purple, which is quite annoying due to the fact I have only had this machine for a year and am rather careful about how I press the buttons.

As a daily driver for my work, I am disappointed about the device’s durability. Others also have expressed this in the forum. I love Elektron but an almost 2k€ machine should last longer in my opinion. I just hope the button keeps working for now as I live in South America, and it is quite a hassle to wait to be in Europe, pay, and maybe wait months for a fix. If anyone knows a service in Brasil, it would be very helpful! love x

Is it still under guarantee?
You should be able to get a repair.
If not contact Elektron to have an estimate of the cost, or hints at what needs to be repaired.

For the record my gear works pretty well. But it makes no sense to post such information. Which is why you can, here and there, read about faulty devices, even if the proportion of working ones is largely superior.

It sucks that yours has to be one of the few that seem to have durability faults; but I can’t say I’ve ever had issues with the 6 or so Elektron devices I’ve owned over the years…

If it’s something easily replaceable you could always ask Elektron for a replacement component and fix it yourself : - ) ! Or if you know someone who’s handy with electronics, have them poke around replace the offending LED. Good luck with it

good call. I think this should be the quickest option. and @LyingDalai it is supposedly still under guarantee but if I ship to Europe I would probably pay taxes both ways and that would probably cost enough to defeat the purpose of fixing.

if it didn’t mess up the workflow, I would say it looks pretty cool hah maybe I should change everything to purple.

anyways thanks, elektronauts
