AR MK1 - 48 khz Hardware vs 44.1 inside daw?

Ok, maybe a strange question, but I don’t get this to be honest.

Analog Rytm MK 1 is 48 kHz. I normally run my projects in Studio One at 44.1. (24 bit)
Analog Rytm runs just fine over Overbridge in S1 in a 44.1 kHz project, but I just got some extra latency.

Will the discrepancy of sample rate in S1 and AR actually make any impact?
Should I set my project in 48 KHz instead? According to manual it seem so, but I can still run AR at 44.1 (in OB).

(I also got Analog Rytm MKII.)

Thanks!

Definitely set your project to 48 to match the elektron. You’ll find issues in playback, especially if you are tracking other instruments.

Thanks.

Even though I don’t use it as a audio interface? I have a Clarett 4 Pre.

Yes, correct.

ok, thanks!

If you are recording the analog output from the Rytm through your usb audio interface at 44,1 khz then you’re recording in 44,1 khz, no matter what sample format the Rytm plays back.

I only use USB

Sorry, thought you were recording through the Clarett.
Don’t know how I missed the OB part…
Sry.

Yes, Studio one will be doing the sample rate conversion, so as soon as you put any music into it via ob you’re instantly reducing the quality, by a very small amount, but why would you choose to do that?

The higher the sample rate, the lower the latency as well.
