AR & Mainstage transport commands

Hi, I hope this hasn’t been covered yet…

I am trying to trigger a sequence (basically the play button on the AR) and a backing track on the Playback software of Mainstage 3, all in sync. No matter what I do, there is a huge latency but because I’ve read this was a Mainstage issue I am trying the other way around.
Mainstage sends a “play” command to the AR but the AR won’t trigger the sequence. The Play icon simply appears on it but nothing happens.

This seems like a pretty simple problem but I just can’t figure it out.

Hi, yes. clock, transport and prog change…
Receiving everything via midi btw, didn’t try usb.
