Yes, you almost certainly do not want one project per song when playing live, unless you want to stop loading between each one. That can work too I guess, as long as you can fill the gaps between songs with your stage presence etc? Depends on the person and context. Heck I’ve seen shows where the band stopped between every song to load up the next while the MC chatted with the audience, and people didn’t seem to mind all that much!

I recommend consolidating your songs to a manageable number of patterns, like other people have suggested. For this one project where I’m using my AR live, I usually have just 1 or two patterns per song (and build the drum progressions live with mutes, fills, perfs and modulation etc), but depending on the complexity of your arrangements you might need a lot more.
