there’s some sort of limiter anyways that will distort the sound, for example if I send DN full volume into the EXT IN and I start bringing the MUP up (full wet comp) I reach a point of distortion that won’t go over that point, you can test it by changing the comp volume and see that at most values above 10 it will sound the same and will have same level that only the master volume will attenuate.
but the SYM parameter will affect that sound, so maybe the MUP involves the distortion anyway with a constant value that’s not controllable from the master distortion page, not sure, either way it’s good to know that once you add gain with MUP the distortion symmetry will affect the incoming signal.
