App for slicing samples and use songmode

Hey guys,

Anybody know if there is an IOS app that could be used for slicing samples and songmode (using USB midi and the class compliant USB Audio) on the digitakt?

Not a special iOS app as far as I know.
Maybe you can use a sequencer app like ā€˜Mod Stepā€™ as a pseudo song mode.
Mod Step has a very elaborate midi implementation.

If by slicing samples you mean, triggering different start points of a sample by setting the ā€˜sample startā€™ via midi, thatā€™s impossible.
The Digitaktā€™s reaction to setting ā€˜sample startā€™ and ā€˜sampleā€™ via midi is painfully slow.

I would like to see an app which can extract a sample and put it back in slices or something, but I donā€™t know if thatā€™s even possible.

Iā€™ve been working on an an app for song mode(and a lot more) for more than a year now. But that will only be for Windows and Linux(mainly aimed at Raspberry Pi).

It would be possible if they added REX support then you could use Recycle. Which actually does a bit more than just straight slices.

Iā€™m also hoping for/ thinking of an an app that could extract a sample and put it back in slices or similiar, that would make things so much faster.

A ā€œworkaroundā€ Iā€™m thinking about is that one could just export the audio to a iOS sampler like Koala sampler or Beatmaker 3 or something else, slice it and then sample the slices back to Digitakt and then put them in the soundpool for use in one track. But I donā€™t know, it feels a bit tedious.

Ah well, I hope your app does well when you get it released. Maybe I should get a Rasberry;)
