Yeah that mega link has been floating around a lot. However it only has 98 of the 110 tunes that were released to soundcloud. They have also had the bit rate reduced from 320kpbs to 192kbps. If you grab all the tunes direct from soundcloud, you should have about 1.2 gigabytes of tunes.

so close to 500 is no big surprise…
and don’t worry about him ending up broke…just writing aphex twin dj set on any flyer in the world is still a few thousand bucks to pay…
and as a dj, he’s presumably the only one on the planet who earns his bucks than even easier than guetta…
and don’t forget…this guy released a bunch of longplayers back in the days when you still could make a fortune with sales…and two of those even became all time classics…and a mainstream must have in those times…electronc avantgarde was no niche at all for quite a while…
not to mention all these countless money he got for silly remix requests from all over the planet…
i know two people in person who paid him over 40000 bucks for three tracks alone…mid of the nineties…
and he had that much of a genius vibe, that even if his result was nowhere near to anything you could call a remix of that certain track you asked and paid and waited for, you just wonderd for a minute and then said thanx and wow, see everybody, we got even remixed by richard…
and they all did’nt say that they payed for it…
even it they got just some bleeps with reverb from him…genius…tell ya…

This guy’s persona perfectly matches his music. When producing “avant garde” anything you run the risk of being a tad pretentious for an audience, so I think his humour has done him a lot of good. He’s Warped in the truest sense.
I’m eating these releases up. So much to learn as a producer when you have this much access to an artist’s output, it’s really unprecedented. I enjoy the mental picture of him sitting around listening to all his old stuff from start to finish, watching each upload to his fans. That must feel amazing. It must be so liberating, like some Zen clutter free mind stuff.
Somebody could write a think piece about the evolution of technology over the past 30 years. From novel hacker’s tool to e-commerce to the modern surveillance state. Why not release everything you’ve got when the NSA has already been listening to it in their break room for years?
