There are a few threads about it on the forum. Generally it’s a regarded as an expensive but worthwhile OT controller, as it has a small footprint and can connect to a midi port directly without extra boxes. People have some issues with fader positions not matching up after a part change, but that’ll happen with anything but rotaries.
Works just fine. I even had a Logidy UMI3 foot controller, an LCXL and a QuNeo all controlling OT at the same time.
good to know. where is the advantage, which setup did you use? more about playing slices/ tracks or control several fx-parameter the same time? curious to hear more about it!
Logidy for transport controls or pickup machines. Quneo for mpc style slice playing and the lcxl for track levels and effects. The templates for the quneo and lcxl can be found on this forum. I made a few modifications to suit my needs but pretty easy to setup. I have since ditched all of those controllers and now use just a disaster area dmc midi pedal. I found that I like using OT as a looper rather than drum machine most of the time.
But I have to be in slices mode on the OT to play them via QUNEO or is it possible to assign the controller to slice-parameter while OT is - let’s say - in chromatic mode?
No external playable control of slices from external controllers, unfortunately. It’s a known issue, there is a lag, and you always end up with the previous value. Numerous people have attempted to get around this in various ways, but I don’t know of any successes. You have to play slices directly on the OT. Though you could always set up chromatic notes on the quneo and have the slices on the OT. QuNeo is also good for X/Y control of parameters with OT and things like quickly switching scenes, or enabling the freeze stutter effect with pre determined divisions.
Speaking of, there is a video of multiman controlling the OT with a QuNeo from a while back.
I think he does change slice numbers of tracks, but I believe this is a non-realtime manner, IE, he has the slice looping, and it doesn’t matter as much if the slice number takes half a second to change because it’s quantised with the loop.
Do you still have the OT template for the Novation remote?
Thanks!

I’m looking for a small solution, since I’m on the road a lot.
Which one would you recommend? Other suggestions are madly welcome!

(would it work at all?)
Thanks!
I just uploaded mine, too, if you wanna check it out.
