One artist I favor, Jazzspoon, uses one on a lot of his work. Swears by it.
Absolutely no. I remember seeing a first gen model, back in like 2009, of that thing when I was in the air force. A dude who was part of my squadron asked me to help him write some hip hop and he pulled that crazy ass thing out. It was impossible to use and everything that came out of it sounded so downsampled it was hilarious.
