it depends on the pad I selected how it sounds…
is that normal?
It does just sound like your track FX are applied to your sample playback. Have you tried saving your recorded sample to the track and then turning off the FX on the track? That would be the next thing to test.
My mistake - I searched for this last night and could not find it. I was probably recalling a setting on the OT.
