Hmm, I may take a crack at this with the Octatrack but that is some ugly wallpaper music. The first image it creates in my mind is wandering around a half-empty supermarket - they always seem to be playing lightweight pop music like this while I am trying to choose a new toothbrush or find the best deal of pasta sauce.

They give you all their track predefined as full song tracks. they even give you a live layout. It is all in the horizontal format. you don’t fire sounds you play the tracks. Personally if you ask me to remix give me the melody and bassline as a MIDI track and vocals dry front man and back-up separate. Yeah I could work with what they can but I feel limited and directed…

I think id prefer to save for 6 months doin slave labour rather than have to listen to that for 6 hours doing a remix!

…that’s what the main stream gives us; these are the people who are successful in the music biz because that’s what sells and that’s what the market wants
luckily, there’s not only this stuff out there, but it makes it hard to get a living with music …

edit: the remixes i’ve listened to on the page sound almost all the same…
