Anyone else losing faith in Elektron?

For real.

It takes a bit long for certain things with DT2 and DN2…
I can imagine the pain to code in Rust such a box. It must be a nightmare.

But: I have faith Elektron will sort all of that out.
So my answer is: no, I’m not losing faith, I’m sure the new products (whatever will come too…) will get it’s proper treatment.

Don’t lose your patience

Seriously? Nobody?

im looking forward to this. the dt2 will be the middle-point in my studio, before my computer with ableton. its already planned out. ill just wait patiently, because im used to the market these days. as has been said before, I rather wait and see how things evolve and am happy with what I have right now.

also: dt1 connected to an iPad via usb, using the takt as an audio interface/ sampler and mangler for my monosynths. and being able to use the cool efx on my iPad and record everything in there. and also control synths with my iPad and sampling them through the digitakt. honestly, I don’t need more right now.

I think if you want to use a new device which has been released in less than a year in a live situation you might be driven by adrenaline and cortisol.
Might be safer for your mind to just continue to use a device that you know perfectly for years in this context. Less stress, more music, better nap 🫠
Won’t loose faith in a company which has always succeeded in 99% of there product ( yeah you shitty battery handle ).

DTakt 1 is a true “special sauce” sampler in the MPC/SP tradition to my ears. has a signature sound which i think comes from a combination of the DACs, the mono engine, the compressor, the distortion tools. I dunno, DT2 sounds a little flat to my ears. too much stereo can be a bad thing for club music

Kinda curious about pattern change.
Does it happen when longest track in a pattern finish it’s loop?
Was scratching my head these days trying to match pattern change on 2 devices

But I want Elektron products and not the others. However, I want them to work properly.

It took like two full years for Overbridge to come out on the Digitakt. It wasn’t there at launch and people were throwing fits back then too.

All in all, I’ve never had terrible experiences with my Elektron gear. Rarely encounter bugs. It happens but not enough to care. Inversely when I had an MPC Live it was guaranteed to crash almost every day. Same with my Maschine+ when I had it. Never had issues with a Digitakt like that.

I may have lost faith in Elections, but not in Elektron. I know that it isn’t easy making all of the people happy all of the time and in a timely manner, but I am certain that after they update the slicing on the Dt2 that it will be considerably a lot easier to do so

Maybe they just released too many new boxes in a short time : Syntakt, AHFX, DT2, DN2
Bugs should be fixed eventually.

That’s exactly what I think about it. It seems to be the ‘fuck it we can’t keep this up, let’s just release it’ free public beta test mentality works for many companies. I work in photography and it’s just the same.

Ive put my DT2 away for now and back to the OT MKII.

If mono sampling and proper slicing arrives (which im sure it will at some point) then I am sure it will come back out the box.

Nowadays buying hardware seems a waiting game for the features

I can report the complete opposite. I’ve never had a sequencer so rock solid, so reliable. The only thing I find crashes it is imported sample packs with corrupted wav files.
