I’m looking for a small, tough keyboard to use with my A4 in multimap mode.
I’m not interested in keys with a nice feel or aftertouch, just in being able to tap in simple monophonic lines and of course assigning drums sounds to keys. It’s important that I can switch between octaves quickly and know which octave the keyboard is currently set to. Most of all it’s important that it can take being thrown in a bag and misused in a live situation.
Korg’s Nanokey 2 looks like a good candidate and the price point makes it realistic to replace if I spill a drink on it. Has anybody here used one?
