Anybody Scratch?

I wonder what else the 4 extra buttons for $20 do. Mysterious.

The “to be announced” part I mean, not what’s already stated.

Or maybe they’re saying the specific effects are TBA?

I guess maybe the to be announced clause is just in reference to “etc.” part of the statement. Sounds really cool though, the entire device I mean.

In Portablism’s SC-1000, the four buttons can be used to set cues, which is very convenient.

Definitely convenient! I’m really only questioning the part where it says “etc. (to be announced)” as to whether the to be announced bit is in reference to the etc. part, but now I’m thinking that it must be.

I want one myself, but going to wait for proper reviews from users here than rely on some youtuber.

Looks really cool!
Motorised…!
Would exchange for my sc500
But shipping is soo expensive :unamused:

I’m looking at “dj” stuff and seeing a lot of controllers. Is the WOW the only thing available that is motorized and holds samples to scratch? I guess I’m wondering if there’s something already out there that I’m not aware of. I’m not wanting to drop a grand on a CDJ if I don’t even know if I’ll stick with it.

More videos of the WOW…

been begging these guys since day one to release a unit in the color of the prototypes they’ve been sending out… in the beige color and they are dead set against it … please if you want a beige/grey one instead of one of the other colors please email them and request they make it happen.

Mmm… taking me back, I had the sndtrk to this. Great history.

Interesting… Didnt sound totally rubbish even though its digital… Looking forward to hearing early adopter opinions

I’m still of the mind that nothing beats analogue scratching but I’m open for someone to convince me otherwise…

Yup still scratching badly 40 years later… I don’t mind though, it’s just fun to do even if I can’t master it, I can do crabs, flares and all the usual suspects but my timing is a bit shit and I struggle to string all of them into a coherent performance

Legendary docu… love that

hm… I think they fucked up the design tho. The speaker grill looks terrible and the rest is also not too nicely designed. Is this a conspiracy so I buy the TP-7?? Also why doesn’t it snap to the TX-6 and why doesn’t it have a crossfader and cost like 10x?

it is what it is i guess, I was just surprised that this headache company is even doing it…

Was it also headache sound who made that cardboard box MIDI controller with arcade buttons?

not sure about that one

Did you see that new DinSync acoustic lathe that was introduced at superbooth 25?

They are saying you can cut scratch records with it! (You also need some other stuff but the lathe is the vital ingredient we have been missing)

I’m getting one in a year or two for sure. I’ve always wanted to make my own scratch records. I’ve also wanted to learn how to cut 12" recods at the basic level (ie dont need to learn to a pro vinyl creator level), so two birds with one stone

I recently got Hercules T7 with premium faders.
There is a lot of fun in learning scratching.

However, it feels, I’d like 12" plates more than 7", more natural hand movement as for me. Perhaps, if I continue scratching I eventually switch to DVS setup.
