Anybody controlling a Moog Source with the A4?

I’m having some trouble getting my A4 to properly control and sequence my Moog Source. I can get it to trigger the Source but it seems like it messes up the tuning and depending on what key I press on the Source, it seems to shift the tuning of what is played back via the A4. Almost like a transpose? Anyway, it’s kind of hard to explain but if anyone on here has already done it and it is working, I’d love to hear specifically what you did.

I had zero problems getting this setup to control my SH-101 btw.

Yeah sorry to say I sold my Minitaur over this. I spent quite a long time on it and finally got it dialed almost all the way in, but it would still be off by a few cents in higher/lower octaves.

I found a few things (YMMV):

If I remember correctly, the CV steps from the last MIDI note played so play the lowest note the Minitaur is supposed to play (note 0) on a MIDI keyboard to get it started (see here: http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=13923)
I found that the Minitaur was not anywhere close to precisely 0-5V. I had to screw with the middle C setting and V/oct setting quite a bit to get it lined up and I used a tuner app on the iPhone to check my work. Start with middle C since that has its own setting, then fiddle with the V/Oct by testing the tune of a nearby note until that works too.
On top of that - I had to adjust the fine tuning too!
All this and it still varied enough to be a few cents off an octave after straying a few octaves.

But wait there’s more! The filter and volume inputs also seemed to be wildly off. I had to use something like 0-7.3V to get the full range of the filter!

I tested the A4 with a multimeter and A/B sent exactly 5V at the top of the range and C/D were at 4.96 - pretty close. This made me pretty sure it was the Minitaur.

I also had various other weird buggy issues, stuck notes, lockups, strange click noises, etc. with the Minitaur.

I finally gave up and sold it. I will miss that buttery smooth wall shaking bass, but it was really killing my creativity spending all of the time on this and still having bugs.

Hi there! Quite a while back since the last post on this topic (analog 4/keys via CV to moog the source). Maybe anybody has some new toughts or tips on it now?

Just got my digitakt (and loving it!), now considering going for an analog 4/keys, also to pair with my The Source… that is, if it could work in the first place all help much appreciated!
