IWondering as I couldn’t find in manual. Last I remember from owning an Octa prior pretty much every available parameter was able to be trig-locked.
But also last I remember Elektron likes to intentionally leave out features on a box like this.
Oh also, are there limits to number of parameter locks per trig/step?
OT cannot p-lock LFO settings, DT can. Vice versa for fx parameters, DT can only p-lock send level, whereas OT can also p-lock fx parameters. There is a limit with regards to how many parameters you can lock, but I don’t remember a limit for the number of values you can lock any of these to. Every now and again, there’s a post on these forums from people who’ve run into some sort of memory limit. E.g., when Matt Keenan deconstructed his winning entry for an Elektron competition a few years ago where only one sample was to be used, he mentioned hitting that limit (cf. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4l53rr9b4mM).
Every company does, it’s called having a viable product scope.

Thanks for the info.
Viable product scope. Yup
It would take me more than a lifetime to learn coding, electronics, and more than my well of creativity to produce a machine like this on my own. I could spend $600 in a year on Starbucks… I’ll take the limitations and be thankful. Lol. Truth.
