Any idea what the OT IOCPU PCB and OT UI PCB spare parts are?

My OT is on the way back from Sweden to Germany with two new spare parts. An IOCPU PCB and a UI PCB .
Does anybody know what they are for ?
By the way, it tooks only 2 weeks ( with shipping ) .

P.s I had some problems with the Display ( random glitches ), total freezes, Booting problems, low Battery allert, date and time resets and the no Project found message after booting !

OT = Octatrack
IO = Input Output Unit
CPU = Processor
PCB = Printed Circiut Board
=> Mainboard

i guess they change the complete Mainboard.
your error description sounds like that.
now you have an new OT
great .

Thanks for your reply !

Yes, the IOCPU PCB sounds like a new mainboard ( hopefully with some extra mystery of the week features on it :wink: ) !
But what for is the UI PCB ?

That’s the board that processes all the button presses and knob turns (and presses).

In today’s tech repair world, it’s usually faster to replace entire circuit boards than to troubleshoot down to the component level.

Then they will send the bad boards back to the factory for rework and test.

Ah, thats why they fixed it in half an hour ( written in my Receipt )!
Hopefully they made some longer tests afterwards, cause i had some evenings without any problems !

UI = User Interface, like OldGearGuy said.
