Any concrete info on shipping to retailers?

Waiting already for 1 month at Bax-shop.nl, getting several mixed status updates on when it will actually be delivered. The latest status is that it will arive somewhere next week…

Bax delivered mine 2 weeks ago…ordered May 24th. They are receiving units on a regular basis but apparently not always the amount that Elektron promised.
I seems like Elektron is shipping in regions and when I ordered the US was receiving several shipments. When I received mine it was obvious that the europe region was up again since several shops in Holland were delivering units to customers.

It was a hard wait for me as well (although others have obviously been waiting a lot longer) but it is well worth it, you’ll see.

Mine also was ordered from GuitarCenter Miami 30 days ago, and the ETA is for around August 10.

I will become nuts.
I’m in a hurry because I have an order waiting to be sent by ship from Miami and is delayed only for this product.

Why not order direct from Elektron? Is saving $50 (or whatever) really worth the indeterminate wait?

I ordered direct last Tuesday and got it 3 days later.

I’m in Chicago, so I don’t see why not.
But that’s just for shipping.
It’s still subject to their availability and if they have any finished units ready to go out right away. I may have just been lucky.

Not that I don’t appreciate or empathize with people’s frustration in waiting, but if you pre-order something that doesn’t have a firm date attached to it, you’re opening yourself to the frustration of waiting indefinitely. This is the problem when people project their expectations as realities.

@panelist in that case you’re wrong because I did get an affirmative answer by GC thru my commercial partner in Miami, FL that they would deliver it within a week after receive the payment, so, my anger is fundamented.

I’m happy to say my march 31st order from moog audio in canada finally got filled. Should have my Rytm Friday! almost felt bad hitting em with a 5% off coupon after the amount of emails sent back and forth during the wait Ah well, saving a few bucks is saving a few bucks…

Yeah, ordering direct from Elektron is definitely the way to go. Placed and order with Sweetwater 2 weeks ago (which I know is not that long in the grand scheme of things). I checked in with my sales rep and he said they are very sporadicly trickling in (like everyone else is saying in this thread).

Placed an order on the Elektron site last night, and just got a shipping notification this morning. They are definitely prioritizing direct sales over retailers, which is a questionable business strategy, but as a consumer, I’m just happy that my Rytm is on the way!

Way back before this all started and Rytms were out there was a question as to whether Elektron would prioritize their direct sales or retailers or keep 'em both equal. Some people said this, some people said that.

I think we have a pretty clear case of who Elektron shows their love to.

Now we know. Too bad for retailers.

I need a little help… I want to buy a unit direct from Elektron and ship it to NYC, but I need to use a pickup service, or anything like it, because I can’t receive any package at home. I’ve noticed that the UPS has a service called “Hold for Pickup” (http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/shipping/time/service/value_added/hold_pickup.html) but I never used it. Has anyone used it with a international shipping?

Or… does anyone knows what email address should I contact to clear this with Elektron?

I’ve never used it but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. The problem I had was not having a place to hold it in my area. You can ask then to deliver it at a certain time or to a different adress… For a small fee.
