Good idea! Kind of idea that seems like it’d go some way to help reduce crime of some machines. Of course opportunists that are just grabbing anything fancy they can see, won’t likely know about this. But then as opportunists are going to grab something they know they can sell easily; music machines may not be something they’d likely choose first (of course exceptions to every rule), I remember seeing someone on Modwiggler who had a break in and they left a 20k modular synth and took a laptop and iPhone 
So theft of music machines is likely to be by those that know the value and worth of them - and so options like your suggestions may go some way to reduce theft as it would be no use to anyone without the PIN code.

How about inserting an Apple AirTag into AR/A4/OT? Into the box.
I mean these are valuables that could be stolen. Also a thief would likely not open the box shortly.
Is there a place inside to apply somewhere?
Would there be an interference?
