Another post about

Ok, today is May 21th…

I know, it’s really boring to speak about it… But, Overbridge?
I don’t understand Elektron, I’m in the music business from over 10 years, and Elektron probably is one of the most quality and serious small company in music…

We know, it’s a complex research and development software… But in 2015 there are 20 years old guys how program by theirself really complex instrument and vst…

And the problem is the confusion inside the company, in the forum, official company member say: out before May 15Th…

I understand, it’s not completely necessary to have Overbridge for music composition… But, in January i have buy A4 + AR just for integration with my DAW (and waiting again for Logic AU release…) and Overbridge announcement…

Guys, it’s really sad this question, and not serious with the clients.

:-1:

The official word is “late may” according to a post from inside the company, made here a week ago or so.

I’m sure they are just taking the time out to get it right. I wouldn’t assume that they are slacking on the job, it’s pretty obvious that a lot of people are holding their breath for this, myself included.

My damn motu soundcard keeps going out of sync, so OB will be much appreciated on my end, since i mostly use Elektron gear these days anyways.

He said the exact opposite.

Totally agree.

I have lost the post probably, I have read only the words of Simon about May 15…

I try to ignore the announcements now … They announced it 3 or 4 times and then delayed ?

So why should they stick to it now ?

When it will be out and fully functional I will be happy.

C’mob guys… Release it!

:alien: :alien: :alien:

overbridge delayed = 1000 upset

overbridge released without any bugs = 100 - 1000 upset , who complain about what OB is not (stereo busses, no OT control, no quantized toaster, no reflux control for time travelling)

overbridge released unfinished with major bugs = 10 000 mails every day

solution = accept 1000 upset users with delayed software …

tattaa… managed this post without going haywire and swearing and insulting… i am really proud of myself!

^ we get it man, you’ve said it in every thread… Why not be moderate and let new users have there say !!! Just stop reading the threads if you can’t control the need to vent on others…

EDIT - I may well act as a catalyst here but I feel it needed saying. I just don’t see any harm in people being impatient!!! Jeez. Most of us are mere humans.

it’s better to have overbridge right now with some bugs (is a beta after all) rather then have to wait longer…at least for me since my motu died some time ago

jepp… I actually did that… but after 9 month I could not resist anymore… point taken PlayRecords! … I will shut up (for a while :stuck_out_tongue: )

Let’s be honest , how many of you think that OB will be released by 31 May ?

Page 23, Simon said it would NOT be out before mid May…

Fair enough.

This really hits the nail on the head.

I know you all are waiting anxiously, and have been for quite some time – but the fact remains, it hasn’t been finished nearly enough for a public release. It’s sad to have to delay products, but it would be even sadder to release an unfinished piece of software that would mostly lead to frustration rather than provide the experience both we and the user anticipates.

The public beta is just around the corner, and from there onwards it will continue to evolve. Overbridge is completely free for the users of our machines– we are not asking for anything else than your patience.

Overbridge isn’t free. That price is built into the sale of each unit. It’s only “free” because we’ve already paid for it.

I still think the units are reasonably priced though :joy:

Well, we haven’t added to the price of the units due to it, if that’s what you mean.
But you’re correct, it’s complimentary rather than free.

“Complimentary- given or supplied free of charge. Synonyms: free, free of charge, gratis”

It’s perfectly acceptable to call it “free”…

frumpy pussy

actually just as common as OB cryobating

When discussions on the internet devolve into pedantic arguments over what commonly used words mean it’s a strong indicator that the topic has run its course.
