And again a new problem :(

Hi all,

I’m beginning to be really bored with this Analog Rytm :frowning:
1500€ for it, pfff…
It keeps losing many samples in RAM (my project).

The only thing i’ve done is uploading new samples in the machine, I’ve just a load a few of them in ram; but the ram has loose half of the samples when I reboot the machine today.

Even my saved project has lost the samples. It’s the second time the AR does this thing, I’m really really bored with it right now. Have to find all the samples again, and again.

it is a baby and still learning to speak.
be nice to it
it needs your love

Fuck it ! I’m really bored with this machine right now.

Each time I put new samples into it, it looses some at the same time. But not the same day… It’s the surprise.

Sounds like there could be an issue with your RYTM? Might be worth seeing what Support suggests.

However I do think the machine feels slightly underdeveloped. I understand that upgrades will make it nicer, but it should be good from the get go. A €1500 machine shouldn’t feel like a Beta test program. :disappointed:

Maybe its just a bitch who wont talk to you and you need to dump it. :zonked:
Slightly more helpful to the op
Have you done a hard reset?
Have you tried re-loading the O/S?

it speaks Serial IO fluently :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

can’t say I’ve encountered this issue anyway.

Tonight: I’ve already have a lot of work inside, I don’t want to take to risk to reset it. My project is saved, but no I’m really afraid with this buggin’ machine.

The first time I’ve had this pb, it was with the previous OS, and now, it’s under the new one.

What’s really strange and badly done: the saved project has also lost the samples. Why ? How is it possible ? The project doesn’t take the samples in the saving process ?

Is there anyone from Elektron here ? Allo ?

did you delete or re-order any samples on the +drive?

the samples in the RAM are copied from the +drive to the RAM when a project is loaded (e.g. also when the machine is booted). So if you mess with the +drive sample content, be careful…

Yes, I’ve uploaded some new samples inside…

As I understand, the saved project only contains infos about the samples. ok.
It’s a sysex, so no problem with it.
But we should be able to dump on the computer the samples used by the project, we can dump everything excepts samples, bad idea too me.

In Global settings -> Sequencer config

see if ‘kit reload on chg’ is checked

it may be that if this option is checked and you are not saving your kit, then whatever changes you made to your kit (including sample assignment) may be lost when you restart the machine.

but this is just a guess

I save all my patterns super often, that’s not the problem

was the option checked?

it could still be a bug related to that option, even if you are saving your kits, so it would be worth 3 seconds of time to check

Just to rule out any format conversion probs, are all your samples 16/48 mono format? There might be a problem related to specific bitrate etc…

I haven’t experienced any data loss of any form so far, but will keep a look out for any losses in the future. Your using the latest OS?

Kit reload is not checked.

I only use 44.1/16 samples.

Interesting, never encountered issue of Samples being lost.

Are you sure they were deleted from the +Drive? Or the KIT sample assignments were lost?

From the drive, and from the pool.

The kits still have the assignation, but the sample is missing.

I’m gonna put back all my samples and then save my project with a new name. Then, we’ll see and try to import new samples again.

OK, try that.

Keep in mind that the Project does not save which samples are stored in the +drive. Project saves which samples are assigned to the Sample List in that project.

If the samples are disappearing from the +drive, that would be a different issue.

Thanks, I’ll check carefully now.

new save is done, i’ve reuploaded my samples, now I’m gonna import them in thepool. Then save the project again.

It would be really great to be able to export the samples uses in our projects. We have the USB, so let’s use it
