Analogue Solutions Ample

Anyone get one? Any impressions from someone who’s played it? Compared to some of their other synths like Fusebox Leipzig and impulse?

I really dig the sizzle in that first clip! Lot of character overall and looks fun to tweak and explore.

Made a video for the Ample here, it turned out to be a kind of traditional review of the thing which I didn’t intend to make but I think it’s useful and not something many folks have done yet.

My thoughts are in there but generally, it just sounds amazing, while maybe not the most unique in terms of synth architecture it has glorious VCO’s and a lovely sounding filter. The pin matrix is super fun but for me the standout interface win is with the combo of the analogue sequencer and touch plate interval generator (voltage storage). They make the synth very performative and a bit of a riff machine.

I like it, that you compared it within the range of Analog Solutions - i really enjoy each sound demo i hear from them. I think its one of the devices, which needs much attention, so if youre building a live set, it could only be this, coupled with a sampler, as you constantly would have to tweak it, to make it sound different? One LFO could be a bit short to leave it unattended for a longer period?

Thanks! Yeah it does offer a lot to play with for a live set, enough to keep you busy for sure. VCO 3 also can be an LFO. I would always welcome more LFOs tho (and envelopes).

Do the three VCOs feel like a Model D on steroids ?

The VCOs are so alive

I really want this synth along with the Syntrx II to fill my pin matrix desire in my studio and live. Expensive but as an owner of the Leipzig v3, I can attest to how fat and juicy the oscillators and filters must sound.
