Analog Rytm sequencing Vermona drm1

G’day fellow Elektronauts.

Firstly, pardon the noob-ish post. Sequencing external gear is new to me.

I’ve been successfully triggering my Vermona drm1 using a friends Digitakt. But I was wondering if I could use my Analog Rytm in the same way

I’d like to midi sequence from individual channels. I’ve yet to find anyone doing this, is this possible?

Cheers

rytm and A4 cannot trigger (or sequence) external gear via midi
only octatrack, digitakt and digitone can do this.

rytm and a4 are capable of being triggerd (or sequenced) from digitakt, digitone and octatrack.
that is one of the biggest limitations of these two boxes

via CV using the A4 you can control external gear.

Note taken. Thanks a lot

@MaxChiller

If you have the trigger upgrade for the Vermona, you can sequence it from the Rytm by using impulse machines.

Impulse machines can be set so that they output a ‘trigger’ type transient, so if you connect the individual out for the impulse track to a trigger input on the Vermona, you can then use AR tracks for sequencing the Vermona.

I’ve done with this with various drum voices that have trigger inputs (Simmons/Modular).

However you wouldn’t be able to play different velocities on the Vermona, which is why I sequence mine via MIDI (using another device).

Shame as the DRM is fairly jitter in response to MIDI notes, so I’d prefer to sequence it using triggers.

Cheers Dave. I’ll give it a crack and let you know how I go.

I’m pleased to report that I have my RYTMmkII somewhat controlling the Vermona DRM1mkIII

so far though, the DRM1 is only responding the pads, it does nothing when I run the sequencer
