I wonder if I am going to the first person that sold an AR and bought one back, lol.

I definitely enjoyed it before but it didn’t seem crucial to me. I could definitely see the potential but I needed a sequencer panel for my Serge more.

I have followed stuff going on around here though and Strom got me excited. It seems like it handles most any complaint I had and really opens up the power and the workflow of the AR. I am looking to build a set that has a lot of samples from my modular, as well as other instruments that I have, along with drums from the AR and synth/other percussion from my Tempest.

I expect my AR to be here this week, SO EXCITED!

Sometimes we don’t realize we had something special until it’s gone…enjoy and be grateful as the RYTM will be back!

SO, my new AR showed up today…SO AWESOME!

I have made a nice beat with scenes and performance mode changes. It isn’t a groundbreaking beat but it is great to remember how to use the AR (I haven’t cracked open the manual yet).
I haven’t added any of my own samples, I won’t do that until I have a camera kit for the iPad and Strom.
Great to be back onboard.

i too have gone back and forth on it …haven’t sold it, but the more i delve into it, the more i really really like it. I run it through a variety of moog pedals (101,102,103,104) I have and get some really cool and interesting textures

Cool, I definitely plan to process some of the outputs. I love sending sounds through effects on the aux sends in my mixer and do some sort of dub mixing. I miss having some Moogerfoogers around, surely I will get some again though!

I am going to try and figure out some really methodical methods that I can count on for sample placements and for scenes and performance mode .For example - Bass lines on LT, Pads on MT, Leads on CB, Scene on BD - no difference, Scene on SD is delay on SD, Performance on BD is resonance on BD and Reverb on snare, etc.

Those are hypothetical and of course, every scene and perf wouldn’t be exactly the same but there can be some logic (when I hit this pad, these sounds will be affected).

AR is so immediate but I definitely see how much of a performance beast it can be.
