I can’t seem to be able to get out of the pre-set patterns and create my own sounds? How can I stop the pre-sets from playing when I hit PLAY?

create a new project and load it. that should start you with a fresh blank slate
Could you be more specific in terms of how to accomplish this?
sorry if this sounds rude, but if you dont know how to do this then i recommend reading the manual first.

the rytm is not that difficult, but it really helps to sit in front of a table, read the manual and at the same time try things out… most of us here did… there are some button combinations you must know, for a new project, it is ‘function’ + ‘global’ and then go to project and then to load new project… Not difficult, it;s all in your muscle memory very soon, but it’s not something you automatically know.
once people see you do your best and invest time in it… the machine is really deep and people here are helpful to work with it and to spread ideas…

Hey Guys, I read the manual and I worked already a lot with different Projects.
But one Problem is still there for me: If you start a new Projects than you will lost all the factory Kits and also the factory Samples for the Machines.
Is there any way to start a new Project and keep all the Kits and Samples or is it just Possible by Copy and Paste?

If you want to keep all of the kits and samples, I reckon the easiest way to do this would be to duplicate the project and clear all the patterns.
Just resave the project onto a blank slot and rename it to something different.

Isn’t your problem that patterns are played back infinitely? If so, enter Scale menu and edit the length of the patterns.
Otherwise switch to and empty pattern slot and go ahead

I think you’ll have to do it one by one…
Maybe with OB you might be able to copy kits and samples and whatnot…but I haven’t personally tried it yet.
Or another method is a sysex dump of the kits/sample data I suppose? (I haven’t dabbled with this either)
Dump all but the patterns on your computer and then load it into an empty project.
