"100 pcs edition!
Köfta is a Koltta Sámi lost in Berlin, Finland’s least known Lapland, an artist oozing with primal power, who didn’t have time to reveal his true identity even in this context. He lets the content of Kasino Records’ latest release speak posthumously for him. This sweaty and ruthlessly compressed music is so much techno techno that it’s almost proto-techno, which is more faithful to techno than techno itself. Before his disappearance, he had given the tapes to a Finnish punk artist, from whom they ended up in the archives of Kasino Records before long.
Köfta’s music was recorded in the studio directly on cassettes, without mixing or editing anything further. Instead of the traditional 12-minute techno measure, Köfta kept his songs as short, intense bursts. The original, culturally historically significant Demos made for the record by the biggest music lovers, collectors and especially the ecstasy star Köfta are also available on a 90-minute C-cassette released at the same time as the vinyl edition."
