Hi im just putting it out there is anyone using the rytm to send trigger out via the individual outs to trigger external gear like vintage drum machines?
be interested to hear of any experiences…

once i sent an impulse trigger from a rytm track into my friends behringer neutron synthesiser. this allowed for syncopated triggering of the synth alongside a rimshot rhythm i had programmed on the rytm.
that evening my friend told me he had never truly accepted the fact we die alone and are instantly forgotten in the constantly evolving maelstrom of human existence. i hugged him and told him as long as we focus on the here and now, and strive to remain content in the moment we exist within, none of that matters.

Had a jam where I clocked a friends dfam with an impulse machine on the rytm. Wasn’t working at first until I realized I needed to turn up the track volume to get it into the ~10v signal it was looking for. Worked a dream after.

Hello @robjones, when speack about the trigger out of the elektron analog rhytm? What do you say? Cause I don’t see trigger output… Are you talking about the 8 “Track Out” outputs (BD / SD / RS / BT / LT / MT / CH / CY)?
there’s no dedicated trigger output but you can use any individual out and use UT IMPULSE machine to generate a click

I’m not familiar with it but I can see that it has midi in? if so, you can just send din midi from rytm’s midi out, you’d just need to make sure send clock/transport enabled from the midi setup

That’s what I thought I want to put the AR as a master midi out to the cm1A in and then control the tempo of the behringer sequencer 960 from the AR but the tempo of the sequencer 960 does not change at all ^^’
again, not familiar with this unit but try different settings from the midi setup, shortcut is FUNC+FX, stroll through the options make sure the clock/transport send set to enabled and the output enabled, you maybe need to set the turbo/din24/din48 accordingly…
I’m thinking of something, if I use the EX IN (I think it’s supposed to route all “Tracks OUt”), EX IN to a trig modular, do you think it works or is it a shit idea?
the EXT IN is input not output, nothing goes out of it, you need to use the individual outs, if you want to send the whole signal out in parallel (not from main outs) you can use the headphones out too, it’s 1:1 as the main outs
by the way, are you 100% positive that the behringer module works? did you manage to sync it with other gear? like from a audio interface and a daw? the quick start guide available does not give that much info on the midi specs/settings but I can see that there’s a software for config called “SynthTribe tool”, have you tried connecting with it and see if the unit actually works?

Update: I managed to modify the tempo of the 960 sequencer via the elektron! In fact I now pass a midi IN cm1a cable to midi OUT of the arturia keystep and from the midi in of the midi keystep to the midi OUT of the elektron. My sequence on the 960 sequencer is not well synchronized with the elektron, I really have the impression that it is shifting. I will see if I can improve the synchronization by modifying some parameters of the keystep (Seq / Time Div / Rate). Maybe my midi chain is too long to synchronize a modular sequencer.
