I got my Octatrack MKII a couple of months ago (after having a MachineDrum MKII for a couple of years and loving it), and now I’m thinking about adding an Analog Rytm MKII. I’m curious if anyone is using the AR pads to output MIDI to other gear – in particular, to software. For years I’ve used MOTU’s MachFive for drum samples, and although I’m shifting away from that a bit, I’d love to be able to trigger samples within MachFive using the pads on the Analog Rytm MKII (it would also mean I could get rid of my Korg padKontrol). I looked through the AR MKII manual a bit today but didn’t see anything about MIDI out from the pads.
Any ideas would be most appreciated!
