Just did my first sampling session with the mk2 and boy do I love it. Sampled a simple note from the Lyra, two octaves down, analog filtering with subtle reso , bit of tasteful overdrive, reverb and delay and done. And that’s without any p-locks. Very cool…

Thanks for the info. I’m actually on vacation now relaxing after dinner now. I’m away from home so I have no access to the studio. I’m just hoping for the new update to drop before Christmas or the New Year like the maschine 2.7 did for a beautiful Christmas. Anyways enjoy your mkii. I heard you mentioned that the transfer app works well with it too, right?

I’ve been spending waaaaaaay more time with Maschine than my A4 MK2. So much so. Already thinking of selling it. Trying to hold on for the next OS update though

Temporary derailing of thread - Ive had ignored my Maschine for a couple of years but came back to it early this year and it’s like night and day. Such a great environment to work in. And when you have Komplete (standard or ultimate) and all that it brings it just really makes justifying hardware difficult for me. Plus U-he’s Repro works like a charm within the Maschine/Kontrol environment it really blurs that ITB/OTB line further.

Bank on track - Looking forward to seeing and hearing what people do with sampling on the AR2. It’s a massive addition.

Yes, transfer app works. With regards to an update to AR MK1 before christmas I wouldn’t hold my breath. I understand that getting the next update for DT out of the door is top prio in Elektronland at the moment.

You can also sequence the A4 with Maschine. Lots of flexibility with these boxes.

Unfortunately, I fell out of love with the AR a long time ago. I was hoping the MK 2 would bring some new found inspiration, but it doesn’t sound like it.

It’s a sweet box and super fun. But not $1500 fun

I just received it. So far i love it. The sampling is exactly as the digitakt one and make the rytm a beast.
All the new buttons are handy, the pads are way better. Happy i upgraded :slight_smile:

I just got the email for the 1.40B update for the analog rytm mk ii. If the two have the same circuity, will the update work on the mki?

I think it’s safe to assume that they really had to get their skates on to get this baby out of the door and there probably wasn’t any time for bells and whistles.
