Analog Rytm MK2 + (DIN & USB) midi = Freeze

Heyy somebody has the same issue and a solution?

I use Analog Rhythm MK2 together with the iConnectMIDI4+ Midi Interface to run various LFOs to change AR parameters.

So far the plan.

Yesterday I tested it for the first time.

And the GUI of the AR freezes as well as the haptic interface (buttons etc). The pattern continues to play, the changes sent by midi command are also audible.

But the AR is definitely not usable anymore, because of the frozen GUI.

Why is that so? How can this be prevented?

I use the latest released firmware, midi receive and send is active, both as USB midi and DIN midi.

does this mean you are purposefully sending MIDI to the AR through both USB and DIN simultaneously

what are the LFOs and what are they targeting, keeping in mind percussive sounds may not respond to modulation in the same way a sustained synth sound would

curious, but basically you are short on details, the solution may be to simplify first and then add back the complexity to see if there’s a trigger point

Hi, nope usb is active but not connected.
Lemur APP (ipad) with one LFO on channel 9 cc 74 (Filter cutoff) -> iconnect midi USB Port -> iconnect midi DIN 3 Port -> AR midi in

from what i vaguely recall of Lemur output, it can be dense (in terms of duplication) if not coded/filtered well - why not look at the lemur output in a midi monitor to see if it’s overwhelming the midi input with pointless extra information
