Analog Rytm content Backup/Transfer

Hi All,
My first post here. Great community BTW. I had my Rytm for little over a month and I’m in love with it. Unfortunately I’m having some issues and it looks i need to return it for a replacement.

Here is the question…What’s the best way to backup/transfer the content (projects, songs, patterns etc) over to the new Rytm? I went through the manual and I couldn’t find any info.

Marko

Welcome! I’m sorry to hear that your AR needed to be replaced.

The best way to back up is by sending MIDI SysEx messages to a computer. See “SysEx dump” (pages 56 to 58 in the manual).

Thanks so much for replying. I just saw that. It seems that it’s not possible to back up samples within the projects. Too bad.

Bringing this back to avoid creating a new one.

I did a backup of my Rytm beforer sending it to service, did it on C6, transferred a whole project. The file is a 16mb .C6 file, but C6 won’t open it, no errors or anything, it just doesn’t load it.

Tried with older backups, but same thing, i never tried before, i just made safety backups regularly. Anything i am missing?

I’m having similar issues with my rytm mk1… I’m now searching for a way to transfer EVERYTHING (projects, patches, samples and so on) on a new rytm mk1, like taking everything from the plus drive and move it on a new one. Is it possible? thank u fellow elektronauts
