seems I was a bit previous - there must be a glitch in the pattern that allows the tom to thunder through - thought I had it for a moment…

This worked for me: change to the Presets project, then create a new Project.
Then say some incantations and maybe leave the routing alone. It’s really annoying tho’. Hopefully they’ll issue a bug fix. They emailed to say they’re working on it, but I’m gonna assume there’s no update 'til I see it.)

As it’s so common I’d have hoped that it’s one they’d just address and roll out rather than waiting for some upgrade bundle. Sure more LFOs are great and everyone has their want list, but for me, I’d consider something that works as it should ought to be their priority…

somewhat relieved so see other people having this problem. Cant believe this is an issue, I already had to send it in for repair once for a record button issue. Gonna try out some of these solutions in the mean time. Thankful for this thread.
I came here today (Sunday, August 13, 2023) after spending HOURS working on this, and trying to understand where I was messing up. After combing YouTube and the rest of the web, I came here, and decided to check the threads to make sure I didn’t create a thread on an already existing issue, and… I find this thread.
Same thing for me: I have turned “Use Global Routing off”, tried starting from the Presets project, but… nothing works. No matter how I route it, or what track I select, I just get the BD track booming through Ableton 11 Suite. My Push 2 is playing the BD chromatically, and it just won’t activate the other tracks on the AR. Seems like this has been going about… 2 years? Elektron have reproduced this and still no firmware fix or other explanation/workaround that is universally effective?
Wow, this is frustrating. I have a Perkons, TR-8S, Syntakt, DT, and a pile of VST’s, but, for me, nothing can touch the AR… and… of course…it’s the only one having an issue like this.
Anyone heard anything on when/how this might be addressed?

I’d suggest emailing support. They quickly got back to me saying that it is a known bug that they’d like to fix. When I pressed them on when, they mentioned that that haven’t heard from many people and therefore they consider it rare.

Pretty much what I feared. You can bet that for every single person posting in this thread, there are probably at least 10 more out there who’ve hit the same issue. I’ll contact them, just to add my name to what is hopefully a growing list that will at some point be addressed.

I’ll chime in here: I have a RYTM MK1 attempting to route into Ableton - BD I can get through just fine with global routing off, but I cant seem to get any other track to come through and Im stuck resorting to a single track for the drum bus - relying on mixing with pans on device.
Figured it was just me. Trying the New Project in Presets trick…
Was this fixed in 1.70??

If it is not detailed in the bug fix list shared in the topic it’s not likely to have changed i’m afraid

This is the only note that might apply:
Under some circumstances, earlier made monitoring settings were not cleared and reset when creating a new project.
I’ll try and see later. Would be such a huge bummer if it wasn’t fixed.
