Analog pairing

Does anyone use the Digitone as their main unit and pair it with an analogue synth for a different flavour? I’m thinking about pairing a desktop Analog unit with mine for a bit if variation. Just something small, mono or paraphonic would be fine. I love the vermona Perfourmer sound, I’m just worried that it’s too big for my desk and the 4 voices would be overkill with the DN 16 tracks.
I know they make a mono lancet which also looks nice.

Yep I have a Boog that I sequence with my Elektrons and I love having a simple desktop WYSIWYG mono synth to pair with whatever I have on my desk at the time. It’s always routed into my Elektrons so I can take advantage of the effects as well. Basses, leads, Berlin-style…all great fun!

i pair my DN mk1 with analog 4 mk1 and ms-20m. really incredible combination, ms-20 is all sweet spot and analog 4 can do drums/poly/sequencer madness. 3 boxes that will never leave my studio

Yep, this is a perfect combination if you like physical synths with lots of knobs and sliders and want a sequencer/polysynth to complete the setup.

I currently use a Slim Phatty with the DN, which compliment each other well… I’m looking to get a Teo-5 or DSI Tetra soon however.

I have used a slew of Dreadbox synths as a second for the DNK. Erebus, Hades (for that buh-buh-buh-BASS) and Nyx. I recommend all of them. Also a sh01-a, a Ju06-a…
I like having some analog something to join in the fray.

Digitone Keys for bass, occasionally pads, and especially good at rhythmic B-tracks with motion from the dual LFOs. use my Alpha Juno for bits that demand true(ish) analog vibes. and MPC One for samples/plugins to fill out the track

Mono Lancet sounds lush but no patch saving so it depends on your workflow as to whether that’s the right route but yeah do it. I have a TEO-5 here and its wonderful (and reasonably priced too).
