Just got mine. Same issue with the feet. It seems like the left front corner is slightly higher than the rest so it wobbles a bit.
Interesting that itās happening for all of us in the same place.
But, I think I figured out how the AKeys is fine tuned to ādeliver deep bass.ā It wobbles
Nice one!
I got mine in Feb directly from Elektron, shipped halfway across the world to NZ, no wobbly feet here, very stable.
When / where are the wobbly oneās from?
Got mine in today, also wobbly on most of the tables downstairs.
Moved it to my studio and itās stable there, weird!
Not sure what to do yet.
Well iām gonna test-drive it first i guess

Just got mine, same issue with the feet. Just put some paper under it, Elektron could just send out slightly bigger feet.
Love it anways
Just took shipment of my AK.
Wobbly left front corner.
At first when reading through this thread I was thinking āok. How bad can it be.ā
Itās bad. I would say 1/8th inch of a gap under left front foot. I experience wobbling when playing normally any key below C2 and slight wobble from D2-F2 with harder playing. I get wobbling across all keys when pushing to an aftertouch pressure.
Aside from this, everything else seems nice. It does seem that EVERYTHING has a grittier feel than on my a4. Knob rotation, cut tons, paint, etc. everything seems āgrittyā but I canāt remember if my a4 felt like this new and Iāve just broken it in.
Happy itās here, but disappointed by the offset balance and wobble.
Can anybody verify the height of their Key LEDs? Specifically on the lower end? The first 3 key LEDs are almost inside of the housing on mine. You canāt even feel the first 1 and they donāt fully protrude until maybe E1.
Just packing up the A4 for now. The paint seems the same but there is more open surface area on the AK to look at. It does have a matte finish. Very in vogue with cars around LA at the moment.
The knobs and buttons feel the same to me.
I put a little piece of rubber backed carpet under the left front foot which stopped the wobble. At first when I brought it in the studio I thought it was ok on the Ikea table and that it just needed some Swedish love ⦠but no still be wobbly!
I donāt think discrepancies with the rubber feet are making your units wobble; itās irregularities in the casing.
I had an A4 that wobbled. I fixed it by gently flexing the whole unit a bit over the edge of a wooden table. It totally fixed the wobbly unit I had; it was completely stable afterwards. Iād be careful applying pressure as to not damage anything, but I wouldnāt think the little pressure needed to straighten out the subtle flex in the unitās casing would pose any real threat to the unitās internals.
On mine the black key led are uniformly farther out than the white keys. The white keys vary slightly against each other but all are protruding form the case.
After moving the AK to its space in the studio room, the wobble has dissipated. Perhaps we all have oddly uneven surfaces in various places around our house. At least it seems to be fine where i intend on keeping it in the room. The key leds are obviously not an issue, but my C1 led is literally inside of the casing. It still functions as expected, but you cant feel it at all if you move your finger across it. The second 1 is slightly further out, and within 4 keys they seem to be protruding uniformly across the remainder of the board.
I must admit that it is a tad cumbersome working with the AK after a year+ with the A4. I find my hands reaching for button combos and configurations that you would expect from the A4. I think that overtime though, i will really grow to like the left handedness of the AK. Everything is spaced far enough apart to not be clumsy, but close enough to 1hand pretty much all the track functions, copy\paste, etc.
Sorry, but these are quality control issues.
I agree the wobbly units and embedded keys are production issues.
Has anyone contacted Elektron regarding this and any response?
This is worrying to be honest, maybe just a particular serial number batch. But if I was a manufacturer and the production plant is getting it wrong, I would like to know and get it addressed and recompensed very promptly.
Iāve sent in a support ticket describing the issues with my unit in fair detail. I donāt necessarily expect them to be corrected in my unit, but I would hope that itās corrected going forward.
Iām still waiting for a response, Jon said they were very backed up.
My LEDās look good, none seem pushed in. Keys seem ok too. The fact that the fist run of units donāt wobble might have something to do with the gap in manufacturing, not saying itās a reason but just the fact that they are from 2 different runs. I did at first think it was my uneven surfaces but I tried it on a glass table too. Also like I said before it seems itās the case not the feet.
It is weird that we all have the issue in the same spot, but at least itās consistent. I did try pushing the corners down while on a table and it does flatten out while pressure is applied, but I would be scared to go any further and try and bend it over the edge of a table. Paint might crack, boards might crack etcā¦
Usually these thing annoy me to no end but it might be that I clicked with the keyboard so well, and the fact that you can just stick something under the foot, that I donāt really mind that much. Letās see what they say. At the end of the day a custom slightly taller foot might be easiest for our early issues? Plus then we will have limited edition feet!
Well not to be preturbed and hereās hopingā¦
Ordered, expected in store 4th so should be here by mid April if not earlier ā¦
Will post back if still an issueā¦hopefully resolved :ā¢)
The 3 Year Warranty is definitely something that should cover this. One does not get such a warranty on any other manufacturerās instruments. DSI only offers a 1 year on a $3000. awesome synth. This awesome synth by Elektron has an even more generous warranty and just because one thinks a given instrument is awesome, deciding to just ālive with itā by placing something under that side of synth does not mean there couldnāt arise issues with the key-action itself or integrity of other parts due to whatever is going on with it. The integrity of the keys, a very important part of the Analog Keys are at issue here. If I were a manufacturer, it would be of paramount priority to identify and correct this as to ensure itās not carried over to future units and even production runs of AR and all other Elektron Instruments.
I plan to buy an Analog Keys as well as keep my Analog Four, and a future purchase of a MkII MnM +Drive, as I just have the MkI currently. I stated this as to express am not āhating on Elektronāā¦rather, for this investment, wish to see production problem resolved before committing with hard-earned money.
If just one of your AK encoders came completely knockered on its side like a bobble head, would you just use some duct tape and live with it? I think not. The integrity of the casing is as important as the integrity Elektron as a company wants to keep. Am sure of this.
Canāt wait to have the AK as a āperformance machineā version of my A4, separate outs, and the forthcoming OverBridge Tech. Access Virus still has yet to get āTotal Integrationā working 100% on all platforms. I am betting Elektron will not only get it spot-on, but would be able to teach Mark at Access a thing or two:-)
Heard back from HQ regarding my support ticket about wobbly feet, led depth, and a few other small issues.
They agree that a synth of this class should not have these defects, and offered to repair my existing unit, or send me a new one.
Iāve yet to reply.
New Electron user here, just received my AK today- no wobbly feet,
much to learnā¦
