Analog keys sequencer sound lock question

Newbie, question (sorry). Trying to follow this video, copying the steps.

At 6:34 he performs a sound lock; turning the sound selection wheel brings up a selection of sounds. When I try this (starting from a completely blank project) I get no option other than ‘track sound’.

I’m guessing that the sounds in the demo would have been pre-loaded into a kit - or is there a way of accessing the sound pool direct to for sound locks?

You first need to select some sounds in the sound manager and copy to -> sound pool. Then theyll be available in the list

Exactly ^^. Sound pool is on a per-project basis.

One of the first things I did with mine is set up a Template project that has about 30 of my favorite synth and drum sounds. That way I have the option of copying the Template and starting from there, or initializing a new project and starting with a blank slate.

Thanks guys. Much appreciated.

You don’t have to preload the sounpool at forhand. You can do this while composing. Just select a sound from the + DRIVE while the sequence is playning. You’ll notice that as long you don’t double-click on the track-button you can play the selected sound on top of the notes already used These notes keep on playing the original sound ->> you’r live -playing on top wil use the sound selected from the +DRIVE. Youn can scrol different sounds until you make a choise. Now import that sound into the soundpool. Now you can sound-lock the imported sound from the pool.
This way you can fill up the poul with 128 souds you choose from the +DRIVE on the fly …
