you already have the correct answer to the relevant question, a four voice poly synth will record up to 4 voices, arp too - i knowz peoplez iz all i’m sayin’ - it will do it, relax, we’ll all have to wait and see how nice that feels especially from our dinky wee keyboards not long !

The “circuits fine-tuned for delivering deep bass” seems like a marketing gimmick. But it is possible they have changed the output circuits to create a certain eq curve. This involves some amps, caps, resistors.

Yes, the A4 can produce that pressure in the low end. You can always use the second filter to pump up the low end.

i wanna believe but i don’t see any proof of this anywhere on A4 page… plus the 2 videos ( hoodie & de:bug) don’t showcase poly sequencing either just the new hold function for chords and live poly playing… not saying it won’t do it but i’m surprised there is no official word on this…

we’re getting lots of new presets, so i hope that a lot of those are poly specific (or poly friendly), i hope there are a few kits and patterns to showcase the poly too - so, yes, it seems likely, but we’ll have to wait and see

To me the A4 is almost useless as a bass synth, unless I use the filter resonance on filter 2 to provide a sinewave. “Why?” you might ask, and the answer is that I mainly make dub techno with basses in the 20-50 Hz region.

Playing the same bassline on the monomachine as the A4 makes this extremely obvious.

I would love to test the A4K to see if this has been improved.

Yes, the dogs in my neighbourhood will attest to that, i played your track at reasonable levels and it does appear to have significantly large amounts of sub 60hz activity. The quad 15" mids and Dual 18" Tannoys really sprang to life in my lounge room. I’m not sure that this is very productive however, i mean i am feeling slightly nauseous now and rather bothered. luckily the bowels held up ok. If the A4 can only do sine wave subs then it’s a shame as even at high levels, a 20hz sine wave is relatively unmusical to my ears. square waves however are another story. good show JGB

I just noticed, that december 9th is not a friday but next monday. That means unconcentrated and overtired employees the whole week. And that in times of global financial crisis? I don’t think elektron can stand up to that responsibility, I predict the whole world will be at stake, for stability and peace’ sake: Release it on friday the 6th or the end will be neigh!

I mean if you for example want a pattern to be 56 steps long. Each bar is 14 steps. So instead of having three whole pages plus 8 steps (like you must now), you could have 14 steps on each page.

Would make it a lot easier to copy and edit things. Now, the second bar would start two steps before the end of page 1, the third bar four steps before the end of page 2 etc… And if you want to have a different length for different bars it becomes even more of a mess.

Workaround is chaining patterns with one bar per pattern, but then you suddenly have a lot of patterns to deal with.

I got to see and play the Analog Keys in LA this past SAt. I have video from cellphone, but of course, coming off a huge Function 1 system and my crap phone, the audio is horrible.

I confirmed with Daniel Troberg and his assistant Alexander, yes the update will give us this option
