Analog Heat MKII as midi/audio interface for iPad pro?

Assuming I have the appropriate converter from USB-A to USB-C is it possible to use the Analog Heat MKII as a midi/audio interface with the most recent iPad pros?

No, unfortunately not. It’s not class compliant.

Ah bummer. Does Apple not support third party audio drivers on iOS?

Both audio and MIDI? Like use the AH midi out to send midi FROM the iPad to something like a sound module?

audio and midi, correct.
this way i control ableton’s clock from octatrack via analog heat’s usb

Interesting. So I can control transport on iPad Pro apps using heat synced to OT? Very useful I have a bunch of stuff on iPad I need to finish but with apogee duet you can’t sync the iPad.

How is the latency? Maybe I should just try it

I was having the audio drop, it’s been awhile since i tried it again.

It almost worked in my setup, but I couldn’t send midi notes from my OT to the iPad, sad face.

Sync will work as you there is an option to send click on AH. Not 100% sure on transport…? …But I believe so.

The audio routing works really well.

5 audio drops for 10 mins with AUM… seems unusable so far
